Recombinant Staphylococcus aureus Protein G (SPG) is a protein in the cell wall of Streptococcus G and C. It can specifically bind to the Fc segment of immunoglobulin IgG without affecting the ability of its Fab segment to bind to antigen molecules. It can not only combine with all subclasses of human, mouse and rat IgG, but also with the IgG of guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, cattle, sheep and horses, which is significantly superior to Staphylococcus Protein A (SPA), which can only combine with human and mouse IgG. In addition to the IgG binding domain, natural SPG also has the binding domain of albumin and cell surface. Recombinant SPG removes the binding domain of albumin and cell surface to reduce non-specific binding. It has greater affinity than natural SPG and SPA.
Function:
Recombinant protein G has removed the binding sites with albumin and cell surface, reducing cross reaction and non-specific binding. Therefore, it has greater affinity than natural protein G and protein A. It can replace the second antibody and is widely used in immunochemistry and other fields. Good in terms of affinity and stability.
